Salon5 is the youth editorial office of the non-profit media company CORRECTIV. Salon5 combines media education and youth journalism to give young people a voice. The editorial team teaches a conscious approach to media, imparts journalistic skills and supports young people in implementing their own ideas and topics editorially - with podcasts, videos and social media contributions.

Salon5 organizes cultural events, holds workshops in schools, offers excursions, summer camps and educational trips and organizes meetings with actors from politics and civil society. Over seventy youth reporters work for Salon5 across Germany and the editorial team offers a 24/7 program via the Salon5 app. It produces new podcasts and social media posts every day and reaches over 200,000 users. The editorial team gives over 150 workshops at schools and youth facilities every year.

Salon5's work has won several awards. The aim of Salon5 is to strengthen young people and thus democratic society. It is a platform where young people can find their own voice and make themselves heard. In this way, young people develop their own view of politics, the media and the public. They experience their own strength.

Salon5 is establishing further locations throughout Germany in order to position itself as a nationwide youth project. From 2025, the activities are to be expanded to Berlin-Neukölln. The project initially plans to build a strong local network, organize a democracy trip for young project participants, hold initial school workshops and develop discussion formats. Berlin-Neukölln was chosen because of the district's cultural diversity and vibrant youth community, which fits well with Salon5's goals of reaching out to young people and stimulating social dialog. These characteristics make Neukölln a particularly suitable location for the implementation of the project.
